Free IMEI checker
An educational tool to understand the structure of a 15-digit IMEI number and run a basic format check on your device — entirely in your browser.
This check runs entirely on your device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
What is an IMEI?
A device's identity number
IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. Every phone has a unique 15-digit IMEI burned into the hardware (dual-SIM phones have two).
How to find it
Dial *#06# on the keypad, or look under Settings → About phone, on the SIM tray, or printed on the original box.
What a format check can tell you
A Luhn check only tells you whether the digits form a structurally valid number. It cannot tell you if a device is reported lost, stolen or blocked.
This is an informational tool only
This page performs a local format and check-digit test only. It does not connect to any official, government or law-enforcement database, and it does not return any verdict on a device's status, ownership or history. For a full device verification, use the Mobile Praman app.
Need real device verification?
Mobile Praman gives second-hand mobile businesses full IMEI verification, condition reports and audit-ready records inside one app.
